 .\nGALA Conference 2022 (11th edition) is an event organized by the Serio
 us Games Society in collaboration with Tampere University (Faculty of Ed
 ucation and Culture). The Serious Games Society is building an internation
 al scientific community for shaping future research in the field. This com
 munity represents a significant blend of industrial and academic professio
 nals committed to the study\, development\, and deployment of serious game
 s as useful and effective tools to support better teaching\, learning\, tr
 aining\, and assessment.\nTampere University is one of the most multidisci
 plinary universities in Finland. Tampere University is a community of 21\,
 000 students and close to 4\,000 staff members. “Games as a platform to 
 tackle grand challenges” is one of the profiling areas at Tampere Univer
 sity.\n\nThe GALA Conference 2022 Proceedings will be published on Spring
 er Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS\, indexed by Scopus)\, and the
  best papers in a special issue of the International Journal of Serious 
 Games\, indexed by ESCI\, WoS\, and Scopus\, like previous years.
