This joint symposium with SAGANET and ISAGA held the 28th of March 2023 was a success due to;
3 interesting presentations/demonstrations and gameplay of sustainability games, and a joining of networks of both the ISAGA SIG, SAGANET members and invitees.
First the circular economy game by Saskia Manshoven of the Belgium institute Vito, for several years they have been working on this circular economy groups for different target groups, we got to test the online version and it will be available in 2 weeks. Saskia and her colleagues also conduct effectivity research on the game and they published several articles on its effectivity.
Then a water management game by Medhy Khouri of Nexgen serious games was greatly designed, appeared to be low complex but while playing seemed to have such an interesting content on water management, it even delivered nice new insights on the interplay of different water management policies small and big and how they interrelate.
And as finishing touch a short gameplay and presentation of Enroads climate interactive by Karen Jeffers Tracy (Climate Ohio) and Marieke de Wijse (ISAGA board), a science based model game that is open source to teach about climate change and the impact of policy measures.
At every presentation we had nice and critical exchange of ideas and backgrounds. There was plenty of opportunity to respond, share and gain new insights.
Thank you for being there and if you weren’t present we can highly recommend this for next year!
